Kathy’s family dentist piqued her interest in dentistry in 1971 when he asked her to train and work in his dental practice. Working as a dental assistant eventually paid her way through dental hygiene school.

She is a graduate of OHSU with a B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene. Among her professional honors are the Oregon Dental Hygienist's Award for Outstanding Professional Achievement, and election to Sigma Phi Alpha National Dental Hygiene Honor Society.

While she has experience in a broad scope of practice, Kathy has worked primarily in pediatric dentistry since January 1975.

She has unbridled curiosity, and she is an avid outdoors and animal enthusiast.
